Offering Prayer

How many time have you offered prayer to someone, but as soon as the person turned their back you have forgotten your promise? Prayer gives hope to someone who feels all is lost. One don’t always realize this. When I was about 13 years of age, I had my appendix removed. It was awfully painful. I had to stay in the hospital for a week. During my stay our church minister came to see me. He appeared uncomfortable and patted me on the shoulder saying, “tell you mum and dad I came to see you, okay?” And he disappeared out of the door. I often wondered why he bothered. A priest came to visit the girl next to me and he prayed over her. I wondered what that was all about and must admit to feel envy because she got a prayer and I didn’t. The priest looked up and smiled at me. He came over and asked me if he could pray for me. I don’t remember the prayer. But I remember the warm feeling. And although back then I didn’t understand much, I knew I would be okay. He gave me that hope through a single prayer. When last have you prayed for someone in need? My prayer for you is that you all will discover hope and faith found in prayer. #GodCanDoThis
