The vision of Strange Images

Part One:

What dreams reveal:

Some of us received the gift of dreams, visions or prophecy. But what to do when you receive such a gift?

2 Peter 1:19-21(KJV) explains, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

I need to do an in-depth study of the first chapter of Ezekiel. But I cannot do this without telling you about a dream I had on the 20^th of May 2020. My dream and its interpretation:

Promise of restoration

I stood in an old ship inside the captains quarters and was observing the evil one. He could not see me for I stood behind a wooden stanchion. The evil one and another man were bent over a map of the world. Jesus stood behind me and told me to take back what was rightfully mine. I could not see anything except the two other ‘men.’ Jesus said, ‘it is on the map.’

The next moment I stood next to the evil one and said, ‘what from up there,’ and pointed to the highest point on the map, to divert their attention away from me and what I was about to do. At the same time, my hand grabbed something on the table (it felt like air). I rushed out of the cabin. I thought that I missed, for I told Jesus I had nothing, but I tried. Jesus smiled at me and told me to open my hand. In my hand, I had a watch (timepiece). It was one of those pocket watches men used to wear. It was made of silver and was now heavy in the palm of my hand.

Meaning:

Ship: According to Bible Meanings ships in dreams represent “doctrinal things from the Word.” On seas or rivers, they show “knowledges and memory-knowledges.” Therefore, it is all “doctrinal things and also the very truths from the Word.”¹ We need to remember that both Jesus and the evil one (and his minion) was with me on this ship. Churches take note…

Stanchion: the wooden (oak) beam that was sheltering me from the evil one’s view, is the truth, strength and sturdiness of God’s Word standing between me and Satan.

The Evil one was bent over a map of the world: meaning that Satan is working around the world – “They are of the world: therefore, speak they of the world, and the world heareth them” (1 John 4:5, KJV). I find listening to different church leaders that they do not oppose the world’s viewpoints as they used to do. Causing confusing if you are a young, immature believer. In Matthew 24:11 (KJV) Jesus warns us that, “…many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Therefore, all dreams, visions and prophesy should be discussed amongst fellow believers.

Operation ‘Misdirection’: Me pointing North (highest point on the map) – but from my point of view it would be more north-easterly. North is God’s dwelling place, which is “permanent or eternal,’ but can also represent a disaster for the nation of God.² “He is the true King of the North” (Ezekiel 1:4, NIV). East is where the sun rises, and represent “a place where God intervened on behalf of His people bringing them salvation.” We find in Matthew 24:27 (NIV), for as “lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

I was using my left hand to grab air: Using my own effort to do something for the Lord. I believe that it amounted to nothing, but Jesus surprised me by telling me to open my hand. And instead of finding nothing, there was a silver watch in hand. Silver means, truth. Ephesians 5:16 (NIV), “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” I cannot interpret this dream just for myself, for “no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation” (see above). My dream doesn’t just apply to my life, but it is a promise to all—a promise of restoration.

Satan and his minions will go out to the world deceiving people; his mission is to steal, kill and destroy, the Word of God warns us (John 10:10). But God has foreseen this, and the time of truth is coming soon…

Now I will continue with the writing I was supposed to do. But please keep in mind this dream, for the time is now.

The Four Creatures

Jesus came to die for our sins, setting us free. This freedom does not allow you to continue in your old ways. When you accept Jesus into your heart, you are transformed into a new being. But what if you do not change? What if your faith is lukewarm?

Jeremiah warned the nation of Israel about what will happen if they continue on their destructive path. “And they came in, and possessed it [Israel]; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them” (Jeremiah 32:23, KJV).

Prophesy in the old testament points us to things yet to come. Some already transpired, but others are reoccurring acts, at a much larger scale.

We read in Ezekiel, the first chapter that he talks about troubled times lying ahead. But we can rest assured that God will stay in control of what is about to transpire. (Please see my piece called, Covered)

In this troubled time, we see a rise of four living creatures that have the same appearance as men, but they obviously aren’t. Ezekiel 1: 5 (KJV)- Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. A warning, therefore, that appearances can be deceiving.

God identifies that there will be four of these creatures, that will represent four leaders because they need to cover the four corners of the earth.

It is also important to note that these leaders will rise from the north (a promise of destruction- as I explained my dream interpretation). Even in Daniel, we read that, “the four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth” (Daniel 7:17, KJV). We need to know that in these troubled times, four leaders will stand out, who will bring destruction to churches all around the world.

We also find creatures like these in the throne room of God, described in Revelation “…around the throne, were four living creatures…” (4:6, KJV). But these creatures in the throne room should not be confused with the creatures rising from the north.
