Restoring the Impossible

Thus saith the Lord ; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Jeremiah 30:18‭-‬19 KJV

God, in His Word, promise restoration. As we read in Jeremiah, God promise to restore Israel’s fortunes, people, homes and rulers. We can see that God always comes through on His promises. It is us, who fall away into our sinful nature. God expresses His longing for us in Jeremiah 30:22, “so you will be my people, and I will be your God.” In this piece God shows us the blessings He has in store for those who follow Him.

But God also promised His wrath on those who disobey. In verses 23-24 God promises to bring down His wrath like “a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked,” and He will not rest until “he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart.”

When will this be?- you might ask. God proclaimed in Revelations 21:1-4, “then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place (the palace -Jeremiah 30:18) is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order things has passed away.'” These are the blessings promised in Jeremiah.

Jesus, himself promised us in John 14:2-3, “In my Father’s house (Palace) are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

My prayer for you today is that you will accept Jesus Christ invitation to be part of this new Heaven and Earth, that is coming soon. Allow God into your heart to restore what is broken. He promises restoration to all who believe in Him. #GodCanDoThis
