Greetings to all.
Come and take a journey with me.
I hope to share my up’s and my down’s with you all and that in standing together we will all grow stronger. I would love to hear from you what works and what not.
My wings take flight
One of my favorite quotes from C.S. Lewis is, “you can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” I say, who wants to go back? If you keep on looking over your shoulder at all your mistakes, sooner or later you’re going to trip over your feet.
But this is a ‘getting to know who I am’ post, so let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in East London, South Africa. I was the odd one out of four sisters. I have a older sister, and younger twin sisters. It always felt as if they ignored me. Yes, I know you want to tell me that’s Middle child syndrome. We moved around a lot. I finished school in Pretoria and started my nursing studies. I’ve never dreamed of becoming a nurse, but after four years of hard studies I made it. I stood proud with my diploma and lamp, thinking to myself that now my life will start and that I will tour the world. But that never eventuated…
I can go on and tell you my full life story, but I won’t. Even I am yawning right now. I want to create a blog site that will bring people together through my stories and poems. In my next post I will tell you about how how I got into writing. Hope to see you soon. Until then, I will leave you with this blessing:
Numbers 6: 24-26 (NIV): “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
